NYSE short-interest shares drop to 13.69 billion (at MarketWatch)

NYSE Euronext Inc. said late Tuesday short-interest shares on the New York Stock Exchange fell to 13.69 billion shares as of July 30, compared with 13.75 billion as of July 15. The July 30 figures represent 3.58% of outstanding shares on the exchange.
